I BOUGHT MY U OF IOWA STUDENT SEASON FOOTBALL TICKETS

So excited! And I have also found a roommate and we are talking to a guy about renting his house that is right on a busline to the law school.  Things for my move to Iowa and my first year at the U of Iowa law school are really starting to come together! :)

UNIVERSITY OF IOWA ROOMMATE

No one that I have emailed so far on the off-campus-housing site run by U of Iowa has returned my email.  C’mon people, cheaper rent! Grad school is in like 3 months, I need to figure this all out! :/

U OF IOWA

I’ve already paid the $250 to hold my seat for the incoming class this fall, but I haven’t “officially” accepted their offer of admittance.  I am STILL waiting to hear back from two schools, but I liked U of Iowa so much that I am tempted to officially accept before they get their response to me… :)

This was my trip to the University of Iowa to attend the Admitted Students Events for the College of Law.

Pic 1:  That is me standing in front of the College of Law.  I was really impressed that they have the largest law library after Harvard.

Pic 2:  The building on the left is the University Recreation building… the Law School building is at the back on the right.  Considering that the campus is pretty spread out, I will be so close to the gym all the time!  Pretty excited about that.

Pic 3:  This is me standing on one of the many bridges that extend across the Iowa River.  The Iowa River runs down the middle of campus.

Pic 4:  This is me standing in the center of the Pentacrest.

Overall, I really enjoyed my trip there and am pretty excited about the things I learned about the Law School.

IN NEED OF HELP FROM IOWANS PLEASE - CEDAR RAPIDS TO IOWA CITY? :)

I am from Phoenix, AZ, and was accepted into the U of Iowa College of Law. I am going to Iowa City next week to check out the campus, etc. I am used to living in a big city where my house/anything I need is in the same city as the airport!

So my question for all you Iowans and out-of-state University of Iowa students is, what is the best way to get from the Cedar Rapids airport to Iowa City? Should I just take a cab? Is there an airport shuttle that is cheaper/more efficient?  What do you usually do?

I will be visiting Iowa City in less than 3 weeks from today to go check out the U of Iowa College of Law… the thought of law school doesn’t scare me and the prospect of moving 1500 miles away from home doesn’t scare me… temperatures below 50 degrees scare me!
What is that white stuff called? Snow?… You mean that stuff really exists?

UNIVERSITY OF IOWA

I just booked flights and hotel reservations for my mom and I to go check out the law school in March.  I am pretty much sold on it already, though. :)

So pretty.  One of my top law school choices due to school reputation and its location in the midwest.  I still can’t believe I was accepted. STILL. CAN’T. BELIEVE. IT.

TODAY HAS BEEN A GREAT DAY!

Sorry about the non-fitness related post, but holy cow am I excited!

First, I paid off my credit card.  Granted, I did at one point pay off all the leftover college expenses I racked up on it from going to ASU, but then I put about $2000 back on it in the form of LSAT prep materials, LSAT tests, LSAC credential assembly service and law school applications.  Here’s to starting the new year completely debt-free! Yay!

Next, I got accepted to the University of Iowa College of Law! Yay!  I am still waiting to hear back from 9 more schools, but this is a great start to my day!
