I BOUGHT MY U OF IOWA STUDENT SEASON FOOTBALL TICKETS
So excited! And I have also found a roommate and we are talking to a guy about renting his house that is right on a busline to the law school. Things for my move to Iowa and my first year at the U of Iowa law school are really starting to come together! :)
U OF IOWA
I’ve already paid the $250 to hold my seat for the incoming class this fall, but I haven’t “officially” accepted their offer of admittance. I am STILL waiting to hear back from two schools, but I liked U of Iowa so much that I am tempted to officially accept before they get their response to me… :)
This was my trip to the University of Iowa to attend the Admitted Students Events for the College of Law.
Pic 1: That is me standing in front of the College of Law. I was really impressed that they have the largest law library after Harvard.
Pic 2: The building on the left is the University Recreation building… the Law School building is at the back on the right. Considering that the campus is pretty spread out, I will be so close to the gym all the time! Pretty excited about that.
Pic 3: This is me standing on one of the many bridges that extend across the Iowa River. The Iowa River runs down the middle of campus.
Pic 4: This is me standing in the center of the Pentacrest.
Overall, I really enjoyed my trip there and am pretty excited about the things I learned about the Law School.
University Of Iowa.
So pretty. One of my top law school choices due to school reputation and its location in the midwest. I still can’t believe I was accepted. STILL. CAN’T. BELIEVE. IT.
TODAY HAS BEEN A GREAT DAY!
Sorry about the non-fitness related post, but holy cow am I excited!
First, I paid off my credit card. Granted, I did at one point pay off all the leftover college expenses I racked up on it from going to ASU, but then I put about $2000 back on it in the form of LSAT prep materials, LSAT tests, LSAC credential assembly service and law school applications. Here’s to starting the new year completely debt-free! Yay!
Next, I got accepted to the University of Iowa College of Law! Yay! I am still waiting to hear back from 9 more schools, but this is a great start to my day!
I SPENT
$821 on law school apps tonight. :/
Stupid Expensive Law School
Over the course of the next 3 or 4 days, I will be spending about $1200 on law school applications. Gotta have options…
MOVING HOME
So, I have almost 100% decided that I’m going to move back to my parents house to save money for law school. I have to break my lease, but it will save me a ton of money in the long run. I will have to rent a storage unit for all my stuff though. Holy cow, I can’t believe this is kinda happening…
I AM OFFICIALLY REGISTERED TO TAKE THE LSAT
…in October! Three months left to study! This time next year I will be making preparations to move away to law school!! Hallelujah!
