SOFTBALL - 3RD PLACE!
Thanks to those that wished me luck yesterday!
Well, we won our first game of the championship rounds with a nice comeback in our last inning… but then we lost our second game. Overall, we got 3rd place for the regular season and then we got 3rd place in the championship! This is exciting for us because the best season we had EVER had prior to this was 5-9, putting us in 6th or 7th of 8...

My team made it to the playoffs in our little city league for the first time ever! Only bad thing is that the first team we are playing is the top team that only lost 1 game this season and kicked our asses twice already. :/ Wish us luck!!

I SQUATTED 100LBS
NOT WITH THE SMITH MACHINE, BUT RATHER WITH A REGULAR SQUAT RACK AND ONLY THE BARBELL, PLATES AND ME. This was my first time using the regular squat rack and I am so excited to see how far I will be able to push myself from this point! I am very proud of myself right now. Yay non-scale victory! :D

I cut out soda as my new year’s resolution for 2011. Haven’t had any soda for over a year now. :)

WOD: RUNNING
Did a nice little recovery run today. 4.75 miles in about 50 minutes. My legs are still a little sore from the half marathon on Sunday.

IMPROVEMENTS - NSV!
So, the AZ Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon was on Sunday. My friends and I decided that since it was the last one we would be able to do for awhile that we would take it easy and really enjoy the run and the beautiful AZ course. AZ ROCK 'N ROLL HALF MARATHON
Is this weekend. I haven’t put as much time into preparation for this one as I have in the past because I have been focusing more on strength training. My friend’s knee has been bothering him lately anyways, so we are going to take it easy with this one and just run it for fun - not trying to beat any PRs or anything. It should be a good time though. :)

TODAY HAS BEEN A GREAT DAY!
Sorry about the non-fitness related post, but holy cow am I excited!
First, I paid off my credit card. Granted, I did at one point pay off all the leftover college expenses I racked up on it from going to ASU, but then I put about $2000 back on it in the form of LSAT prep materials, LSAT tests, LSAC credential assembly service and law school applications. Here’s to starting the new year...

HFCS
OMG there is high fructose corn syrup in everything. I have resolved to cut out HFCS as of the New Year. Thankfully, there isn’t any in the food I normally buy throughout the week (I checked while grocery shopping), but if I want an Oreo as a treat sometime? HFCS. Meet some friends for dinner? HFCS in pretty much everything. This is going to get interesting.

ONE GALLON OF WATER
Drank that yesterday. Gonna make myself drink that much again today. It is SO much easier to just drink and drink tons of water when it is 117 degrees out instead of when I am freezing my ass off at 55 degrees.

NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO
all the New Year’s Resolution-ers that will be flooding the gym in about a week. Don’t get me wrong, I am glad that people will be deciding to get healthy… I just don’t like having a super packed gym no matter what hour of the day I am there. I am going to look into a different, smaller gym tonight, I think.
