WENT TO THE DOCTOR TODAY
and my blood pressure, according to the nurse who took it, is considered to be on the low end of normal. I asked my doctor why it is on the low end when it never used to be and he said it was most likely due to an increase in cardiovascular health / a better diet. WIN. :)

SOFTBALL - 3RD PLACE!
Thanks to those that wished me luck yesterday! Well, we won our first game of the championship rounds with a nice comeback in our last inning… but then we lost our second game.  Overall, we got 3rd place for the regular season and then we got 3rd place in the championship! This is exciting for us because the best season we had EVER had prior to this was 5-9, putting us in 6th or 7th of 8...

I SQUATTED 100LBS
NOT WITH THE SMITH MACHINE, BUT RATHER WITH A REGULAR SQUAT RACK AND ONLY THE BARBELL, PLATES AND ME. This was my first time using the regular squat rack and I am so excited to see how far I will be able to push myself from this point! I am very proud of myself right now.  Yay non-scale victory! :D

Did a nice little recovery run today.  4.75 miles in about 50 minutes.  My legs are still a little sore from the half marathon on Sunday. Total Fitocracy Points: 464 I can’t wait to shift my focus to strength training next week. Yay for some serious squats in my future!

So, the AZ Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon was on Sunday. My friends and I decided that since it was the last one we would be able to do for awhile that we would take it easy and really enjoy the run and the beautiful AZ course. AZ ROCK 'N ROLL HALF MARATHON
Is this weekend.  I haven’t put as much time into preparation for this one as I have in the past because I have been focusing more on strength training.  My friend’s knee has been bothering him lately anyways, so we are going to take it easy with this one and just run it for fun - not trying to beat any PRs or anything.  It should be a good time though. :)
