SOFTBALL - 3RD PLACE!

Thanks to those that wished me luck yesterday!

Well, we won our first game of the championship rounds with a nice comeback in our last inning… but then we lost our second game.  Overall, we got 3rd place for the regular season and then we got 3rd place in the championship! This is exciting for us because the best season we had EVER had prior to this was 5-9, putting us in 6th or 7th of 8 teams… but this season we saw major improvements in our team (and I saw major improvement in myself) and we made it to the championship rounds for the first time and ended up 3rd!  Now I have a week or two off from softball on Wednesdays before the next season starts. :)

SOFTBALL

My team made it to the playoffs in our little city league for the first time ever!  Only bad thing is that the first team we are playing is the top team that only lost 1 game this season and kicked our asses twice already. :/ Wish us luck!!

So here we go: On the left we have my finishing photo from the 2011 AZ Rock ‘n’ Roll 1/2 Marathon, weighing in at about 162lbs.  On the right we have my finishing photo from the 2012 AZ Rock ‘n Roll 1/2 Marathon, weighing in at about 148lbs.  These were taken Jan 16, 2011 and Jan 15, 2012 respectively, so there is basically exactly one year between them.  It is amazing how much less red, tired and puffy my face and chest looks… and the armpit fat seems to be significantly less noticeable, too. Win!

I SQUATTED 100LBS

NOT WITH THE SMITH MACHINE, BUT RATHER WITH A REGULAR SQUAT RACK AND ONLY THE BARBELL, PLATES AND ME. This was my first time using the regular squat rack and I am so excited to see how far I will be able to push myself from this point! I am very proud of myself right now.  Yay non-scale victory! :D

I feel like I am the only one who omits soda.

not even diet! it’s bad too!

Nearly a year now :’)

I hate it. so gross. 

6 months since my last can:) honestly, i don’t even miss it! 

I cut out soda as my new year’s resolution for 2011.  Haven’t had any soda for over a year now. :)

WOD: RUNNING

Did a nice little recovery run today.  4.75 miles in about 50 minutes.  My legs are still a little sore from the half marathon on Sunday.
